In rare cases Momento can display incorrect summary information — most notably, a day that appears to have moments but actually contains none. When this happens Momento will automatically bounce back to the list of days when trying to access this date. This can sometimes happen when an issue (such as a crash) interrupts data processing after a moment or feed has been deleted.
In order to correct this issue Momento will need to rebuild the summary data and remove any erroneous entries.
In order to resolve this problem you will need to complete the following steps:
Momento 3.6 or later
1. Go to Settings in Momento
2. Scroll to and tap 'About'
3. Tap the 'copyright' notice at the bottom of the screen 10 times. This will launch the Debug screen.
4. Tap 'Rebuild Summaries'
Earlier versions
1. Go to Settings in Momento
2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen
3. Tap the 'copyright' notice at the bottom of the screen 10 times. This will launch the Debug screen.
4. Tap 'Rebuild Summaries'
After following the steps above you can then exit the debug screen. The rebuilding process will happen in the background and may take some time depending on the amount of data you have in Momento. We recommend that you leave Momento open until this process completes.
For more information on how to ensure this process completes and completes quickly, please see our FAQ article 'How do I know if Momento is still processing data?'.
